Current Events: Business opportunity for TMB Advisers to participate in Transport for London Contract TMB Advisers have recently been contacted via email regarding an exciting new development through one of its partner organisations, Work Wise UK. Through its Adviser programme, Work Wise UK has won a contract with Transport for London to deliver ICT advice in the area of smarter working practices, including remote, home and flexible working solutions. Through the TMB-Work Wise partnership, TMB Accredited Advisers are automatically entitled to be listed as Work Wise Advisers and can be added to the existing contract with Transport for London. What does the contract involve? In order to create a smarter working capital, Transport for London is aiming to encourage a modal shift in transport use within the capital. One of the routes to achieve this is to present client organisations with bespoke advice on how their organisation could be working smarter and reduce its impact on the existing transport infrastructure. Work Wise Advisers will be selected based on skill set for a particular package of work with a given organisation. The Work Wise Adviser will be remunerated on a daily rate, which will not exceed the industry average for IT consultancy within London. Any hardware costs will be born by the client organisation. What is the process? Transport for London's Smarter Travel Unit will identify organisations, who could reduce their journey output through smarter working. Work Wise UK will engage with the organisation to determine their approximate requirements. Based on the data provided by the Work Wise Adviser, when he/she originally registered, a small number will be selected and put forward to Transport for London. The appropriate adviser will be selected purely on matching skill set rather than location and the agreed work package can then be implemented. Upon completion there will be feedback from all parties for Quality Assurance. How can I be named on this contract? The original list of Work Wise Advisers consists of approx 40 accredited TMB professionals, however we wish to offer the broadest range of skill sets possible and by virtue of the potential scale of this project and the number of organisations, who could benefit, we are looking to submit further consultants for inclusion on this 3 year contract. |
